Description:

On 24th September, Methodist School, Dankuni unfolded a luminous tribute to the venerable pillars of our families, as the institution celebrated Grandparents’ Day with solemnity, grace, and heartfelt devotion. The occasion was not merely an event, but a profound expression of gratitude towards those august figures whose lives are sanctified by experience, whose counsel embodies wisdom, and whose love endures as an unfailing beacon across generations.

The celebration commenced with words of welcome that set a tone of reverence and festivity. Thereafter, the students, with youthful ardour and unfeigned sincerity, offered a tapestry of cultural presentations: songs that resonated with affection, dances that radiated joy, and dramatic performances that extolled the virtues of selfless care and abiding love. Each offering was a symbolic garland, woven in honour of grandparents, whose quiet sacrifices and guiding presence shape the destiny of their descendants.

The august presence of grandparents adorned the gathering with an atmosphere of grace and gravitas. Their countenances, illumined with smiles and softened by emotion, bore silent witness to the depth of love that binds generations in an unbroken chain. The celebration was further ennobled by the distinguished company of Chief Guest Mr Premananda Dutta, Principal of Seraphim Nursery School, Konnagar, together with Reverend Emmanuel Chitrakar, Reverend Kamalaksha Sardar, Dr.(Mrs) Basanti Biswas, Mr Md Khalid, Reverend Jyotirmoy Halder, and Reverend Dipankar Charles. To this constellation of dignitaries was added the gracious presence of Sir Lawrence Emmanuel, the esteemed Principal of Methodist School, Dankuni, whose wise leadership and steadfast devotion have elevated the institution into a citadel of learning and values. Their participation bestowed dignity upon the proceedings and imparted an inspiring resonance to the spirit of the day. The educators of the institution, too, reminded all assembled that grandparents are not only keepers of familial traditions but also the living embodiments of moral strength, whose wisdom steadies the course of younger lives amid the tempests of change.

The celebration drew to its close with tokens of love presented by the students, a gesture at once simple and profound, encapsulating the essence of filial reverence. As the day concluded, one truth shone forth with resplendent clarity: grandparents remain the living repositories of heritage, virtue, and affection, whose blessings confer both strength and sanctity upon the generations that follow.
