Description:
The Annual Prize Day in Methodist School, Dankuni is one of the most eagerly awaited events in our school calendar. It is a day of celebration, recognition, and inspiration, where the hard work and achievements of students in academics, sports and co-curricular activities are honoured.
The event began with a warm welcome address by our respected Principal Sir, followed by a cultural program featuring dance and song performances by our dear students. The highlight of the day was the prize distribution ceremony, where students like Bornini Dey 98.8% (ICSE Topper) along with 49 students, securing more than 90% and Garima Ray (ISC Topper) 99.25% along with 36 students, securing 90% who have excelled throughout the year were called upon the stage and awarded trophies, certificates, and medals. There lies special awards for the students in the categories of:
1) Saraswata Banik (XII S) - Principal’s Honour Roll
2) Sanjiti Banerjee (XI C) - All - Rounder's Award
3) Shree Dey (XB) - Brave - Heart Award.
Esteemed guests, such as Mr. Gerry Arathoon (Former CE and Secretary, CISCE), Rev.
Kamalaksha Sardar (Honorary Secretary, Calcutta Christian School's Society), Mrs. Basanti
Biswas (Principal and Secretary, Calcutta Girls’ High school), Mrs Paramita Basu (Senior Deputy Secretary, Social welfare department Government of West Bengal), Mr. Snehashis Chakraborty (Honorable Minister, Transport Dept.) were invited to grace the occasion and deliver motivational speeches. Their words of encouragement had inspired students to strive harder and dream bigger.
The day ended on a high note with the national anthem and a vote of thanks. It leaves everyone with a sense of pride and renewed enthusiasm for the journey ahead.
