The 79^th Independence day was celebrated in Methodist School commemorate the day our nation gained its freedom from foreign rule. The tri colour was unfurled by Mr.S.S.C. Kumar  the General Manager of Coal India. It was followed by a speech, recitation and national anthem.

The presence of the N.C.C cadets made the occasion a glorious one.
