To honour the 156th
Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, the students of
Classes 1 to 5 enthusiastically participated in a
variety of thoughtful and creative
activities which includes art competition based on ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and cleanliness
drives, all aimed at spreading awareness about his life and teachings.
The students showcased Gandhiji’s values
through models of the iconic ‘Three
Monkeys’, demonstrated the use of the ‘Spinning Wheel (Charkha)’, created a
symbolic ‘Peaceful Tree’ – symbolizing
harmony and created art inspired by Gandhiji’s spectacles – representing his vision for
truth and non-violence.
Adding depth to the occasion, our
teachers, Mrs. Z. M. Mondal, Mrs. T. Bhattacharya and Ms. P. Singh delivered
powerful speeches in the Morning Assembly that highlighted Gandhiji’s life,
principles and timeless message of peace and simplicity.
These activities not only paid
tribute to Gandhiji’s legacy but also helped students to understand the
importance of peace, truth and self reliance in everyday life.
