At Methodist School, the House system is an integral part of school life, fostering a strong sense of belonging, teamwork and healthy competition. Every student is assigned to one of four Houses, each inspired by a distinguished legacy and representing values that nurture character, confidence and integrity.

Through sports, cultural, literary and co-curricular activities, students learn to participate, lead, collaborate and strive for excellence.

It is not simply about winning; it is about building character and growing together.

TAGORE HOUSE

Creativity • Humanism • Cultural Excellence

Inspired by Rabindranath Tagore, Tagore House celebrates creativity, imagination, knowledge and a deep appreciation for humanity and culture. It encourages students to think independently, express themselves confidently and approach learning with curiosity.

Tagore House inspires minds to imagine, create and excel.

BHABHA HOUSE

Knowledge • Scientific Curiosity • Innovation

Inspired by Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, Bhabha House represents scientific curiosity, intellectual exploration and innovation. It encourages students to question, investigate and pursue knowledge with determination.

Bhabha House inspires curiosity, innovation and the pursuit of discovery.

WESLEY HOUSE

Faith • Compassion • Service

Inspired by John Wesley, Wesley House reflects the values of faith, compassion, service and discipline. It encourages students to lead with humility, serve others sincerely and demonstrate kindness through their actions.

Wesley House inspires hearts to serve, lead and make a difference.

CHITAMBAR HOUSE

Education • Leadership • Faith • Service

Inspired by Bishop Jashwant Rao Chitambar, Chitambar House celebrates education, faith, leadership and service. A pioneering Indian educator and the first Indian bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church, his legacy inspires students to learn with purpose, lead with conviction and serve with humility.

Chitambar House inspires students to learn with purpose, lead with courage and serve with compassion.

A SPIRIT OF HEALTHY COMPETITION

Throughout the academic year, the four Houses participate in sports, athletics, elocution, debates, quizzes, cultural programmes, literary events and creative activities.

These experiences help students develop teamwork, leadership, discipline, confidence, resilience and sportsmanship, while celebrating both individual and collective achievement.

HOUSE LEADERSHIP

Through roles such as House Captains, Vice-Captains, Prefects and student representatives, the House system provides valuable opportunities to develop leadership, responsibility, communication and decision-making skills.

Every student is encouraged not only to belong to a House, but also to contribute to its spirit and uphold its values.

HOUSE COLOURS

TAGORE HOUSE — Red
BHABA HOUSE — Blue
WESLEY HOUSE — Green
CHITAMBAR HOUSE — Yellow

For House matches and inter-House sporting events, students wear their designated House colours. For external matches and other special sporting events, students wear the prescribed school colours.

The House system goes beyond competitions and trophies. It gives students opportunities to discover their strengths, build friendships, take responsibility and learn the value of teamwork.

Through the House system, students learn that excellence is not only about what we achieve, but also how we grow, lead and serve.
